Man, I’m such a geek. Back in my high school years, I remember hearing that there was a Star Craft channel in Korea. At the time, I was surprised because I couldn’t imagine anyone who would want to watch other people play Star Craft. Fast forward 10 years, I am now one of those people.

In the past week, I must have watched over 10 Star Craft 2 matches. The reason I love watching other people play the game is that they’re way better than me and the commentating explains why they are so much better. I get a similar feeling while watching a video game being played as I do while watching sports.

So I’m quite torn right now. I don’t know if I should buy Star Craft 2 because of a few reasons:

Not sure if I want to commit a few hundred hours to getting better
Blizzard’s Battle.net 2.0 is garbage. No chat at the moment (will be added later)
Although, 2.0 is free now, Blizzard is being very vague on whether or not they will be charging money to play on 2.0 in the future. Source

Ugh, I just don’t know. Maybe I’ll go improve my micro game with DOTA and think about this later.
